Prof. Josep M. Guerrero

Josep M. Guerrero (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in telecommunications engineering, the M.S. degree in electronics engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in power electronics from the Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona, in 1997, 2000, and 2003, respectively. Since 2011, he has been a Full Professor with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark, where he is responsible for the Microgrid Research Program. Since 2014, he has been the Chair Professor with Shandong University. Since 2015, he has been a Distinguished Guest Professor with Hunan University. Since 2016, he has also been a Visiting Professor Fellow with Aston University, U.K., and a Guest Professor with the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Since 2019, he became a Villum Investigator by The Villum Fonden, which supports the Center for Research on Microgrids (CROM), Aalborg University, being he has the Founder and the Director of the CROM (https://www.crom.et.aau.dk). He has published more than 600 journal articles in the fields of microgrids and renewable energy systems, which are cited more than 50 000 times. His research interests include different microgrid aspects, including power electronics, distributed energy-storage systems, hierarchical and cooperative control, energy management systems, smart metering, and the Internet of Things for ac/dc microgrid clusters and islanded minigrids. Specially focused on microgrid technologies applied to offshore wind, maritime microgrids for electrical ships, vessels, ferries and seaports, and space microgrids applied to nanosatellites and spacecrafts. In 2015, he was elevated as a IEEE Fellow for his contributions on distributed power systems and microgrids. He received the Best Paper Award of the IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, from 2014 to 2015, and the Best Paper Prize of IEEE-PES, in 2015. As well, he received the Best Paper Award of the Journal of Power Electronics, in 2016. During six consecutive years, from 2014 to 2019, he was awarded by Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters) as a Highly Cited Researcher with 50 highly cited papers. He is currently an associate editor for a number of IEEE Transactions.

Baseem Khan

Baseem Khan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal, India, in 2008, and the M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. He is currently working as a Faculty Member with Hawassa University, Ethiopia. He has published more than 100 research papers in well reputable research journals, including IEEE Transactions, IEEE Access, Computers and Electrical Engineering (Elsevier), IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution (GTD), IET Renewable Power Generation (RPG), and IET Power Electronics. Furthermore, he has published, authored, and edited books with Wiley, CRC Press, and Elsevier. His research interests include power system restructuring, power system planning, smart grid technologies, meta-heuristic optimization techniques, reliability analysis of renewable energy systems, power quality analysis, and renewable energy integration.

Prof. Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban

Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban (Member’12–Senior Member’15, IEEE) received a PhD degree in electrical engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy 2012. He is a Full Professor in Electrical Power Engineering with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Cybernetics, University of South-Eastern Norway, Norway. S. Padmanaban has authored over 750+ scientific papers and received the Best Paper cum Most Excellence Research Paper Award from IET-SEISCON’13, IET-CEAT’16, IEEE-EECSI’19, IEEE-CENCON’19, and five best paper awards from ETAEERE’16 sponsored Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering, Springer book. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India, the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K. He received a lifetime achievement award from Marquis Who’s Who - USA 2017 for contributing to power electronics and renewable energy research. He is listed among the world’s top 2 scientists (from 2019) by Stanford University USA.

He is an Editor/Associate Editor/Editorial Board for refereed journals, in particular the IEEE SYSTEMS JOURNAL, IEEE Transaction on Industry Applications, IEEE ACCESS, IET Power Electronics, IET Electronics Letters, and Wiley-International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, Subject Editorial Board Member—Energy Sources—Energies Journal, MDPI, and the Subject Editor for the IET Renewable Power Generation, IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, and FACETS Journal (Canada).

Prof. Francesco Benedetto

Prof. Francesco Benedetto, (Senior Member, IEEE) S’04–A’08–M’10–SM’15 has been the Chair of the IEEE 1900.1 standard “Definitions and Concepts for Dynamic Spectrum Access: Terminology Relating to Emerging Wireless Networks, System Functionality, and Spectrum Management,” since 2016. He has been the Leader of the WP 3.5 on “Development of Advanced GPR Data Processing Technique” of the European COST Action TU1208—Civil Engineering Applications of Ground Penetrating Radar. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Access Journal, an Editor of the IEEE SDN Newsletter, Associate Editor of the AEÜ - International Journal of Electronics and Communications (Elsevier), Editor in Chief of the international journal Recent Advances on Computer Science and Communications (Bentham), the General co-Chair of the IEEE 43rd International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP 2020), the General Chair of the Series of International Workshops on Signal Processing for Secure Communications (SP4SC 2014, 2015, and 2016), and the Lead Guest Editor of the Special Issue on “Advanced Ground Penetrating Radar Signal Processing Techniques” for the Signal Processing Journal (Elsevier). Prof. Ibrahim A. Hameed

Ibrahim A. Hameed is a Professor at the Department of ICT and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. Hameed is an IEEE senior member, Secretary of IEEE Norway Chapter, and the elected chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Norway section. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Systems and Information Engineering from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, and a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark. He has authored more than 200 journal and conference articles. His current research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Optimization, and Robotics.

Prof. Ahmad Taher Azar

Ahmad Taher Azar is a full Professor at Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is also a Full Professor at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Benha University, Egypt. He is a leader of Automated Systems & Soft Computing Lab (ASSCL), Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia. He is currently an editor for IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Springer's Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences, and Elsevier's Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence. Prof. Azar has expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Control Theory and Applications, Robotics, Machine Learning, Computational Intelligence and dynamic system modeling. He has authored/co-authored over 430 research papers in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings.

Dr. Vinay Pratap Singh

Dr. V. P. Singh (SM21, IEEE) graduated from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India in 2007 with B.Tech. Degree (Honours) in Electrical Engineering. He received M.Tech. Degree in Control and Instrumentation and Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and 2013, respectively, from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, India. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor at Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India. He also served as Assistant Professor at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (from 2019 to 2023) and National Institute of Technology Raipur (from 2013 to 2019). His research interests include system modelling, model order reduction, and applications of optimization. He has published several articles in international and national journals and conferences. He is currently Senior Member, IEEE. He is faculty advisor of IEEE student branch at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. During his tenure as faculty advisor, he established five new IEEE student chapters and organized 17 guest lectures from IEEE student chapters. Along with these, he is currently holding faculty advisor of IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society, IEEE Systems Council, and IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation.

Dr. Akhilesh Mathur

Dr. Akhilesh Mathur received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Rajasthan University, Rajasthan, India, in 2007 and the M.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, Roorkee, India, in 2010 with majors in power system. He received his Ph.D. degree at IIT Roorkee, Roorkee, India, in the stream of Electrical Engineering in 2018. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at MNIT Jaipur, Jaipur, India. Prior to MNIT Jaipur, He was working as an Assistant Professor at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He has about 5 years of teaching and research experience. His research interest includes modeling and analysis of unbalanced distribution systems, inverter based distributed generations, smart grids, and microgrids. He has published several research articles in International Journal and Conferences. He is currently Senior Member, IEEE.

Dr. Jitendra Bahadur
Dr. Jitendra Bahadur is working as an assistant professor at the Department of ECE, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bangalore Campus. He has worked as a postdoctoral Research Fellow, at Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea (Sep. 2021 to Nov. 2023). He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of ECE, MITS, Madanapalle, India (July 2019 to June 2021). He has completed his Ph.D. degree from Indian institute of Technology, Roorkee, India. He worked as visiting scientist at the University of Louisville, USA, from 30th Dec. 2017 to 29th June 2018 as a part of the BASE Fellowship. He received two national research foundation of Korea Brian Pool Fellowship 2021, 2022. He has published 24 articles in international journals, granted one Indian patent in Aug. 2023. He attended 7 international conferences, 2 national conferences, and 3 workshops. He got two best poster awards and young scientist award in international conferences. He has filed two Korean patents in 2023.

Dr. J. Ramprabhakar

Dr. J. Ramprabhakar currently serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical & Electronics, Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore campus. He completed his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar in 2016, M. Tech. (Power Electronics) from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in 2005, Coimbatore and B. Tech. (Instrumentation and Control Engineering) from Madras University in 2000. He has 13 years of Teaching Experience, 3 years of Industrial Experience and 4.5 years of Research Experience.He has received extramural grant from Vision Group of Science and Technology (Karnataka Funding for Infrastructure Strengthening in Science and Technology (K-FIST Level – 1): For setting Microgrid research lab comprising Battery Augmented 3KW rooftop Wind-Solar hybrid system with a vision to develop smartgrid laboratory scale prototype. Defense Research and Development Organization – Aeronautics Research and Development Board (DRDO-ARDB): For setting up drives lab pertinent to power electronics driven BLDC motor for LCA application.

D Bala Bhaskar

D Bala Bhaskar was born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India, in 1987. He received a B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering, Guntur, India, in 2008 and an M.E. in Control Systems Engineering from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India, in 2010. He is pursuing a Ph.D. at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. From July 2011 to 2019, he served as an Assistant Professor in the electrical engineering department of G.V.P. College of Engineering (A), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
